Dayforce Implementations Consultant – Payroll

With the opening of our Cape Town office, we are excited to grow our local capability and are now hiring a Dayforce Implementation Consultant - Payroll who will play a critical role in delivering end-to-end implementations of the Payroll modules and integrated solutions. They will collaborate with clients to gather requirements, configure the system to align with business needs, and ensure a seamless transition to Dayforce. Their expertise will help clients optimise their Payroll processes, improve employee experiences, and achieve operational excellence.

Location: This is a hybrid role based in Cape Town. 3days in the office 8-5pm. If you’re applying from another location, please be aware relocation to Cape Town will be required and would need to be arranged personally.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Client engagement & requirements gathering: Lead workshops to understand payroll processes, capture business needs, and document requirements.
  • Solution design & configuration: Map business requirements to Dayforce capabilities, identify configuration needs, and design solutions aligned with the global template (where applicable).
  • Integration & data migration: Collaborate with technical teams to support payroll-related integrations and data migration activities.
  • Testing & validation: Develop test scripts, support UAT, resolve issues, and ensure the solution meets business requirements and compliance standards prior to deployment.
  • Training & change management: Deliver training sessions for payroll teams and super-users, and provide change management support to drive adoption and optimise payroll operations.
  • Post-implementation support: Assist clients after go-live, address queries, troubleshoot issues, and stabilise the system environment.
  • Continuous improvement: Stay updated on Dayforce product enhancements and industry best practices, and provide strategic advice to help clients optimise payroll processes.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

This role provides a unique opportunity for a proactive and driven individual. We are looking for applicants who have: 

  • Proven experience in implementing Dayforce (or similar HCM platform like UKG/Kronos) with a focus on the Payroll modules and solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Payroll processes, best practices and compliance.
  • Hands-on configuration experience with Dayforce (or similar HCM platform), particularly Payroll modules and solutions.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into system solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Degree: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical/analytical field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in HCM consulting, system implementation, and solution design. Dayforce experience preferred, but exposure to other enterprise HCM platforms (Kronos, UKG etc.) is also relevant.
  • Certifications: HCM platform or enterprise architecture certifications (e.g., Dayforce, UKG, Kronos) are a strong advantage.
