Dayforce Data Conversion Consultant

With the opening of our Cape Town office, we are excited to grow our local capability and are now hiring a DayforceData Conversion Consultant, who will be responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and secure transformation of legacy HR and Payroll data into Dayforce or other target systems. They will work closely with clients to manage extraction, mapping, validation, and loading — helping them trust their data in the new world.

Location: This is a hybrid role based in Cape Town. 3days in the office 8-5pm. If you’re applying from another location, please be aware relocation to Cape Town will be required and would need to be arranged personally.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the full data migration lifecycle across multiple workstreams.
  • Work with clients to gather legacy data, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Design and maintain transformation scripts, templates, and validation routines.
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to confirm mappings align with solution design.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues, supporting clients through data reconciliation.
  • Drive continuous improvement of data migration processes and toolkit.

Essential Knowledge and Skills:

This role provides a unique opportunity for a proactive and driven individual. We are looking for applicants who have: 

  • Strong experience in data migration, ideally in HRIS or payroll contexts
  • Advanced Excel and XML skills; exposure to ETL tools or scripting languages is a plus
  • Understanding of HR data models (employee records, pay, time, benefits)
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with large datasets
  • Strong communication skills, particularly when explaining data findings to non-technical users


Qualifications:

  • Degree: Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical/analytical field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Experience: 2–3 years in HCM consulting, system implementation, and solution design. Dayforce experience preferred, but exposure to other enterprise HCM platforms (Kronos, UKG etc.) is also relevant.
  • Certifications: HCM platform or enterprise architecture certifications (e.g., Dayforce, UKG, Kronos) are a strong advantage.
